Bola has over 20 years of experience in academia and research. Professor of Analytical/Environmental Chemistry at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). Hold a B.Sc. in formulation & Industrial Chemistry, an M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, and a Ph.D. in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry.
Previously Bola served as a Senior Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at the Geo-Environmental Research Centre (GRC) and led UNESCO-SIDA and UNIDO initiatives addressing environmental challenges in Africa. Recognized as a Future Leader by the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK
